Doris is a retired a Public Health Nurse Consultant from the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services. She is a graduate of Hampton University School of Nursing and New York University where she earned a Master Degree in Public Health Administration and a second Master’s Degree in Public Health Administration. Doris is a graduate of Rutgers University Minority Nurse Leadership Institute. Doris is also a retired member of the NJ Air National Guard where she obtained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During her service in the New Jersey Air National Guard she held the highest rank of a Black female. Doris has pledged a life time of community service as she is a life time member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

After a friend became ill, Doris invented a new concept in bedding apparel. The top sheet has a pressure pleat to lessen discomfort on the toes. The top sheet is securely attached at the foot with a hook and loop fastener which can be attached or reattached in seconds.

 

DL's ORIGNéLS is a line of “Easy No-Tuck Sheets” and “No-Tuck Blankets.” 

The non-elasticized bottom sheet fits the curvature of the mattress which enhances durability and wearing time. The matching pillowcase shaped like an envelope holds the pillow in place preventing it from falling out of the pillowcase as is the case with conventional pillow cases. Washing is a cinch since both top and bottom sheets are left attached and washed as one unit which makes making your bed easier and faster.
